Learning to Really Deeply Ponder

I didn’t know this much when I was real young, before the age of 17, but at that time I started to really ask some questions and started to really think about life and what I wanted to do with my life… I know I didn’t want to just work, spend money on bills and then die!

Even though I didn’t want to do that, this is mostly what I did with my life – except for the things I started to do in my church – the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day saints, or the Mormons… now – before you blow this idea off – please listen a little longer…

Most of us don’t know why were are here, where we came from or where we go after we die, and those that do – often are mistaken because they have not been told some important information…  because the closer you get to the Real Truth – the more amazing this life really becomes…

Just as there are many levels of light and darkness – there are also different levels of truth, and this makes it hard for any of us to come to the same conclusion what is the truth, it depends what area of truth you are talking about and what level or degree of truth you are talking about…

Here is the other problem – there are beings – ( angels and others ) that what to control us – or free us but what they tell us can not often be easily proven or refuted!   Besides what limited understanding of science – what can you tell what is true and what is not true?

It’s not easy – but let’s suppose that there were beings beyond us that have tried to tell us the truth for a long time, but it keeps getting subverted and destroyed but not this time, why because it is a time to prepare for the second coming of Christ and God the Father is not going to let that happen again… so god starts to reveal things through angels and other beings, and do many other things – but all we have for proof of it is – New scriptures, prophets and testimonies that these things are true, now what are you going to have to do – to prove or disprove these things?

You can study these things out in your mind, pray about them, but you will have to decide for yourself if these people are telling you the truth or not, no one else can do that for you and that is what I did at age 17!

If you believe it – you have to follow it and if you don’t what does it matter – it doesn’t – just another story – that someone has to prove something they believe…

Not so fast, there were evidences over time that more was going on here then what meets the eye, healings, feelings, miracles, peace, comfort, frustration and other things that showed me that – there was opposition too, especially when important things in the church needed to be done… like ordinations, baptism, marriages, service and sacrifice, that needed to be done – and some unseen powers didn’t like it when you were   doing more good and blessing others as you served… this also showed me it was true…

This is where pondering – deeply pondering comes in, the more you do it in a humble and faithful way, the move clearly and precisely you see what is really going on here…

Maybe a few short examples will help show you what I mean…  Let’s take a family letting the missionaries in to their home to be taught the gospel, they had just had some serious problems, and needed help – a child is ill – the child gets a blessing and gets better..

Someone is looking for the Mormon church – he just left the monastery – finds a friend and needs a flat or apartment – this friend is studying with the lds missionaries..

A couple get divorced – they had not worked enough on their marriage and separate – a friend suggest that they try a lds marriage counselor – and she asks them to start to date one another again, help and love one another again – in time they get married and work things out…

A young man is struck down by lightening in a rainy football practice – the coaches start trying to get  them breathing again and one young man gives him a priesthood blessing and the boy comes back to life and lives…

There are many stories like this – I’ve experienced several of them in my own life but in all of them – some pondering and other things has taken place, lives have been touched and changed because people listened and acted on what they prayed and pondered about etc.

Faith and pondering changes peoples lives – I’ve seen it again and again…

Most of us don’t use it often enough…

I’ll show a short video about one of these stories but they all are true…
